Notes about these bitmaps ------------------------- This is the first of an upcoming series of backgrounds I have created for use with the OS/2 Workplace Shell as well as for use with Full Screen Win-OS/2 Sessions. These bitmaps are stored in Windows 3.x bitmap format so they can be used as backgrounds for Full Screen Win-OS/2 sessions as well as backgrounds for the Workplace Shell. Simply unpack these backgrounds to a temporary directory and run the supplied installation program (INSBACK.CMD). NONT40.BMP is a bitmap reminding us of what we do not want to run on our PCs. CN5672.BMP and BNSF9094.BMP are 256 color backgrounds converted from 24-Bit JPEG images scanned with a Microtek E6 scanner. If you use the BNSF9094.BMP image, you will need to select the Scale option in the Background page of the Settings Notebook. Otherwise, you will get partial images on the right and bottom sides of the screen. These backgrounds were designed for use with 640 x 480 screens. CN5672.BMP was taken with an Olympus XA-2 camera and Walgreen's Studio 35 film (ISO 400). The subject was taken at sunset with the sun backlighting the image. The effect happened after converting the 24-Bit JPEG to a 256 color bitmap file. BNSF9094.BMP was taken with a Rolleiflex SL35M camera and Walgreen's Studio 35 film (also ISO 400). The subject was taken on a Saturday morning around 10:00 A.M. This is the first of a series of backgrounds I am releasing to the Hobbes.
